From Coach Brian

Way to go Cornhuskers. That was a great show of TEAMWORK on the field Saturday. You guys came out of the dugout swinging the bats like ALL STARS. 7 out of 9 batters got on base scoring 6 runs in the 1st inning and the same 7 of 9 for 5 runs in the second making it 11 - 0 at the bottom of the second. I say the new "Hit List"(line up) worked out very well coaches. Thank you for putting your heads together and helping out.

As far as the defensive side of the ball everybody has improved here as well. We made a few errors that let them score but other than that we shut them down on the base running. Isaiah had a great game. He ended up tagging out a runner, catching a pop fly and 2 forced outs on third when he stopped a few line drives by 3rd base. He also had a 3 run homer in the 1st inning that made him the receiver of the game ball. Great Job Isaiah.

C'Jay was swapped to lead off batter and he did his job going 3 - 4 and he also had some GREAT plays on defense. His batting average is .727 with 3 doubles and 2 triples and has a got hot glove on defense.

Jett is a phenomenal player. By far the best 6 year old playing ball anywhere. He gives his all during practice and games. He had 2 home runs and 5 RBI's Saturday. He also received the game ball.

We tried out our new circle man. Tank did a great job. He threw out 2 runners and played good defense in the circle the whole game. He also batted 3 - 3 with 4 RBI's.

My outfield Jameson, Joe, Orean, and Jack helped shut down the Yellow Jacket's with good speed getting the balls in Saturday. Jack batted 2 - 3 as well. Good job Jack.

Jameson was hot on the bat as well. Batting 8 - 11 this year and 3 - 4 Saturday getting his 1st RBI other than the homer he had in the 2nd game. He did a great job moving to the outfield for the team. We will benefit form him with his speed and throwing the ball in fast. Orean did a good job on the other side of the outfield even running down and tagging out a runner at 2nd from the outfield. He is FAST.

Tanner the HITMAN was with us Saturday. WOW!! Batting 3 - 4 with a RBI. He also had some great plays in the dirt helping keep the Yellow Jackets from flying around the bases.
